Milestones from my career.

Olympian Gabby Thomas

I had no idea Gabby Thomas was this fast until I watched the 2021 Olympic Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon where she crossed the finish line in 21.61 seconds and took first place in the women’s 200m.

She and I first met while I was doing a photo shoot for 1080Motion during one of her training sessions with track coach Tonja Buford-Bailey. My first impression of Gabby was that she was quieter than most athletes :).

To my surprise, around a month later I get a message from Gabby asking if I would be interested in photographing these New Balance outfits to be released on Amazon The Drop. Heck yea, I would!

We had such a nice time on our photo shoot. We began at HEAT Bootcamp — thank you for the space! — and the funny thing about this part is that I suggested using a box or a stationary bike as a prop for some outfits, but Gabby said she’s never used either before. Yet here she goes and easily does a 40” box jump on the first try — like an elite athlete would!

We finished the session in downtown and east Austin where Gabby showcased her contagious smile and was a joy to create with.

No matter what time I need to be up, I WILL be watching the women’s 200m during the Olympics in Tokyo.

Good luck, Gabby!

Below are some of those outfits which will be on sale for a limited time via Amazon The Drop in September.
